<< Be not overly righteous, and do not make yourself too wise. Why should you destroy yourself? Be not overly wicked, neither be a fool. Why should you die before your time? It is good that you should take hold of this, and from that withhold not your hand, for the one who fears God shall come out from both of them >> (Eccles 7:16-18)
God Justifies the wicked with Love. God is Love, so loving He Justifies the wicked. God credits to us Jesus’ perfection, entirely undeserved, the Bible uses the word: Grace ((Being made Righteous before God not through our works but simply through faith (Romans 3.21-22), those whom he called. He also justified)).
Point: Many have a one sided view of God either because they are false converts or are true converts that have been ‘forgiven little’ lacking in revelation of private prayer and Bible reading devotional life before The LORD. Do not follow or be the same. Yes, He is Love. But His Love cannot be understood without His Justness. And His Justness cannot be understood without His Love. Knowing that you are justified destroys all pride and arrogance – because Christ was the one that justified you. Knowing that you are justified also fills your heart with joy in the process. It stops me from trying to prove myself and it stops me from gaining strength from myself.
The only way to be rounded in your understanding of God is to devote yourself to do what He has told you to. Depending on His Word. Literally! Depend on His Word. Measure everything people say, people do, pastor’s preach, books comment via His Word. Don’t use these things to measure the word. Use the word to measure these things with the primary objective of seeking to Know the LORD more and Love Him more and serve Him more. God wants a love for Him to be at the centre of everything we do.
Let us make sure that we understand just how loving God is and how Holy and Just He. We must understand how high He is and how low He came to save us.
